The province is located south of the Costa Blanca and extends over 25 miles. It is one of the most unspoilt coasts along the Spanish Mediterranean coast and is not a typical tourist destination. The area retains the feeling of ancient Spain with its genuine charm, typically Spanish food and of course the siestor. It’s no wonder it’s called the hidden coast.

The climate on the Costa Calida is one of the best in Europe: 316 sunny days a year and an average temperature of about 20 degrees. Compare with Stockholm that  had 74 days of sunshine 2012 and a average temperature about 4 degrees.
